Phillipsburg Stateliners (Phillipsburg, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers (Bridgewater, NJ), 52-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Phillipsburg upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Stateliners travel to Colonia (Colonia, NJ) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Colonia won 61-37 in their recent non-league bout against East Brunswick (East Brunswick, NJ)

Next up, the Panthers play the North Hunterdon Lions (Annandale, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Bridgewater-Raritan will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 61-52 non-league loss to Delaware Valley (Frenchtown, NJ).
