Alabama High School Basketball - Shelby County ripped by Central of Clay County
January 4, 2024: Lineville, AL 36266 The Central of Clay County Volunteers basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Shelby County Wildcats to 27 in the Volunteers league triumph on Thursday.
The Volunteers now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Handley for a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. Central of Clay County will play a Tigers squad coming off a 68-40 non-league win over Winterboro (Alpine, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 7-7.
Next up, the Wildcats play the Comer Tigers (Sylacauga, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Shelby County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 55-41 non-league loss to Woodville (Woodville, AL).
