Louisiana High School Basketball - Iota nips Grand Lake
January 4, 2024: Iota, LA 70543 Iota Bulldogs (Iota, LA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Grand Lake Hornets (Lake Charles, LA), 50-44 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Iota upgrades its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host St. Louis Catholic (Lake Charles, LA) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Saints come into the bout with a record of 8-6. St. Louis Catholic won 57-45 in their recent non-league bout against LaGrange (Lake Charles, LA)
Next up, the Hornets play the Bell City Bruins (Bell City, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Grand Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Bruins come into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 50-48 non-league loss to Vinton (Vinton, LA).
