Maine High School Basketball - Brunswick nips Mt. Ararat
January 4, 2024: Topsham, ME 04086 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Brunswick Dragons (Brunswick, ME) and the host Mt. Ararat Eagles (Topsham, ME), saw Brunswick's basketball squad hold off Mt. Ararat by a count of 44-38.
With the victory, Brunswick upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Dragons host Falmouth (Falmouth, ME) to play the Navigators in a A South challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Navigators come into the challenge with a record of 1-7. Falmouth lost 52-37 in their recent league challenge against Gray-New Gloucester (Gray, ME)
Next up, the Eagles play the Freeport Falcons (Freeport, ME) in a A South challenge, on Saturday, January 6. Mt. Ararat will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 44-42 league win over Westbrook (Westbrook, ME).
