Indiana High School Basketball - Wapahani holds off New Castle

January 4, 2024: New Castle, IN 47362

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Wapahani Raiders (Selma, IN) and the host New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), saw Wapahani's basketball squad hold off New Castle by a tally of 39-35.

With the victory, Wapahani improves its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Daleville (Daleville, IN) to confront the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 5-10. Daleville won 43-28 in their recent league challenge against Cowan (Muncie, IN)

Next up, the Trojans confront the Eastern Hancock Royals (Charlottesville, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. New Castle will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record. The Royals come into the challenge with a 16-1 record after their 66-31 non-league win over Union County (Liberty, IN).
