New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Muncie Central Bearcats (Muncie, IN), 48-29 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, New Castle upgrades its record to 1-5 on the campaign. The Trojans host Frankton (Frankton, IN) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 18. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 3-2. Frankton lost 50-44 in their recent non-league bout against Lapel (Lapel, IN)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Blackford Bruins (Hartford City, IN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 18. Muncie Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Bruins come into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 65-39 non-league win over Adams Central (Monroe, IN).
