January 4, 2025: Newark, AR 72562 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cedar Ridge Timberwolves (Newark, AR) and the visiting Hillcrest Screamin Eagles (Strawberry, AR), observed Cedar Ridge's basketball team knock off Hillcrest by a score of 52-43.
The Timberwolves (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Marshall (Marshall, AR). The Bobcats come into the 2A Region 2 challenge with a 11-5 record. In their last challenge, Marshall dropped by Valley Springs (Valley Springs, AR), 70-61, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Screamin Eagles encounter the Crowley's Ridge Academy Falcons (Paragould, AR) in a 1A Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Hillcrest will attempt to improve on its 3-12 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 63-34 non-league loss to Marmaduke (Marmaduke, AR).
