In Saturday's league contest, the host Elkhart Lions basketball team scored a big 68-39 triumph over the South Bend Riley Wildcats.

The Lions (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Homestead (Fort Wayne, IN). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 13-2 record. In their last contest, Homestead smashed Lake Central (St. John, IN), 60-44, in a non-league contest.
