The South Charlotte Thunder (Matthews, NC) basketball edged the visiting Providence Athletic Club Panthers (Columbia, SC), 35-30 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Thunder now possess a 3-10 record. They play next when they host Metrolina Christian Academy for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. South Charlotte will play a Warriors team coming off a 57-55 non-league loss to North Raleigh Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, Providence Athletic Club falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Wardlaw Academy (Johnston, SC) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Monday, January 6.
