The Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes tipped the host Minersville Battlin' Miners basketball team by a final score of 52-49 in Thursday's league game.

In their next game, the Hurricanes face the Williams Valley Vikings (Tower City, PA) in a Schuylkill County 2 game, on Monday, January 9. Schuylkill Haven will attempt to move on its 9-2 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 3-7 record after their 69-55 non-league loss to Notre Dame (East Stroudsburg, PA).
