Virginia High School Basketball - West Potomac overwhelms Fairfax

January 5, 2023: Alexandria, VA 22307

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA) and the visiting Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA), saw West Potomac's basketball squad wallop Fairfax by a tally of 59-25.

With the victory, West Potomac improves its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Wolverines host James Madison (Vienna, VA) to play the Warhawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Warhawks come into the challenge with a record of 9-2. James Madison won 42-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Parkdale (Riverdale, MD)

Next up, the Lions play the Robinson Rams (Fairfax, VA) in a District 4 challenge, on Monday, January 9. Fairfax will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 51-25 league win over South County (Lorton, VA).
