Asheville Christian Academy Lions (Swannanoa, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Asheville School (Independent) Blues (Asheville, NC), 62-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Asheville Christian Academy upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Lions host Christ School (Arden, NC) to clash with the Greenies in a NCISAA Carolinas bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Greenies go into the bout with a record of 13-4. Christ School lost 50-45 in their recent non-league bout against Myers Park (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Blues clash with the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles (Rabun Gap, GA) in a NCISAA Carolinas bout, on Tuesday, January 9.
