New Jersey High School Basketball - Barnegat overwhelms Lakewood
January 5, 2024: Lakewood, NJ 08701 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Barnegat Bengals (Barnegat, NJ) and the host Lakewood Piners (Lakewood, NJ), saw Barnegat's basketball squad wallop Lakewood by a tally of 75-36.
With the victory, Barnegat improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Bengals host Toms River East (Toms River, NJ) to play the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 4-4. Toms River East lost 70-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Howell (Farmingdale, NJ)
Next up, the Piners play the Ocean Township Spartans (Oakhurst, NJ) in a Shore C challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Lakewood will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 68-26 non-league loss to Hunterdon Central (Flemington, NJ).
