December 19, 2023: Lakewood, NJ 08701 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ) and the host Lakewood Piners (Lakewood, NJ), saw Point Pleasant Beach's basketball squad wallop Lakewood by a count of 82-28.
With the victory, Point Pleasant Beach upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Garnet Gulls travel to Monmouth Regional (Tinton Falls, NJ) to play the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 22. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Monmouth Regional won 63-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Keansburg (Keansburg, NJ)
Next up, the Piners play the Asbury Park Bishops (Asbury Park, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 21. Lakewood will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Bishops come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 52-22 non-league loss to New Brunswick (New Brunswick, NJ).
