Michigan High School Basketball - Onekama overwhelmed by Benzie Central
January 5, 2024: Benzonia, MI 49616 The Benzie Central Huskies basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the visiting Onekama Portagers to 37 in the Huskies league victory on Friday.
The Huskies now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Petoskey for a non-league contest on Monday, January 8. Benzie Central will battle a Northmen team coming off a 62-59 league win over Gaylord (Gaylord, MI). The Northmen record now stands at 7-5.
The Portagers (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Suttons Bay (Suttons Bay, MI). The Norsemen come into the Northwest contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Suttons Bay was routed by Kingsley (Kingsley, MI), 64-51, in a league contest.
