The Center Roughriders basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Gilmer Buckeyes to 44 in the Roughriders league triumph on Friday.

The Roughriders now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Henderson for a 4A Region III District 17 contest on Tuesday, January 9. Center will meet a Lions team coming off a 63-56 league loss to Carthage (Carthage, TX). The Lions record now stands at 2-20.

The Buckeyes (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 4A Region III District 17 contest with a 16-4 record. In their last contest, Chapel Hill triumphed over Spring Hill (Longview, TX), 67-43, in a league contest.
