Louisiana High School Basketball - Midland nips Lake Arthur
January 5, 2024: Lake Arthur, LA 70549 Midland Rebels (Midland, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lake Arthur Tigers (Lake Arthur, LA), 77-71 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Midland upgrades its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Rebels host Bell City (Bell City, LA) to play the Bruins in a B District 6 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Bruins come into the bout with a record of 7-10. Bell City won 60-35 in their recent non-league bout against Grand Lake (Lake Charles, LA)
Next up, the Tigers play the Notre Dame Pioneers (Crowley, LA) in a 2A District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Lake Arthur will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Pioneers come into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 52-46 non-league loss to Church Point (Church Point, LA).
