Texas High School Basketball - Mt. Enterprise knocked off by Overton

January 5, 2024: Mt. Enterprise, TX 75681

The Overton Mustangs basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Mt. Enterprise Wildcats to 45 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cushing for a 2A Region III District 22 contest on Tuesday, January 9. Overton will battle a Bearkats team coming off a 59-8 league win over New Summerfield (New Summerfield, TX). The Bearkats record now stands at 15-7.

The Wildcats (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against Douglass (Douglass, TX). The Indians enter the 2A Region III District 22 contest with a 14-8 record. In their last contest, Douglass ran past Alto (Alto, TX), 62-42, in a league contest.
