The Veterans Memorial Patriots (San Antonio, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX), 90-59 in Friday's league test.

The Patriots (24-1) will now prepare for their test against Wagner (San Antonio, TX). The Thunderbirds go into the 5A Region IV District 26 test with a 14-7 record. In their last test, Wagner walloped Tivy (Kerrville, TX), 61-59, in a league test.

The Matadors now own a 11-10 record. They play next when they host Canyon for a 5A Region IV District 26 test on Tuesday, January 9. Seguin will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 63-36 league win over Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 6-17.
