With the victory, Water Valley upgrades its record to 4-10 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Hatley (Amory, MS) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Hatley lost 57-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Eupora (Eupora, MS)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Coffeeville Pirates (Coffeeville, MS) in a 1A Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Strayhorn will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 72-65 non-league loss to Calhoun City (Calhoun City, MS).
