Texas High School Basketball - Ponder overwhelms Callisburg
January 5, 2024: Gainesville, TX 76240 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX) and the host Callisburg Wildcats (Gainesville, TX), saw Ponder's basketball squad wallop Callisburg by a tally of 91-18.
With the victory, Ponder improves its record to 21-6 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Whitesboro (Whitesboro, TX) to confront the Bearcats in a 3A Region II District 10 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a record of 7-14. Whitesboro won 68-25 in their recent league challenge against Valley View (Valley View, TX)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Pilot Point Bearcats (Pilot Point, TX) in a 3A Region II District 10 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Callisburg will attempt to improve on its 5-17 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 1-17 record after their 75-14 league loss to Paradise (Paradise, TX).
