In Friday's league match, the visiting Central Mountain Wildcats basketball team scored a tight 43-40 triumph over the Danville Ironmen.

In their next game, the Wildcats meet the Penns Valley Area Rams (Spring Mills, PA) in a non-league match, on Monday, January 8. Central Mountain will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Rams enter the match with a 3-7 record after their 36-31 league win over Bedford (Bedford, PA).

With the defeat, Danville moves to 5-7 on the year. The Ironmen host Jersey Shore (Jersey Shore, PA) to meet the Bulldogs in a Heartland I match on Tuesday, January 9.
