Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Corinth Holders Pirates (Wendell, NC) and the host Cleveland Rams (Clayton, NC), saw Corinth Holders's basketball squad knock off Cleveland by a tally of 51-41.

With the victory, Corinth Holders improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to South Garner (Garner, NC) to play the Titans in a 4A Greater Neuse River challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. South Garner lost 49-38 in their recent league challenge against Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC)

Next up, the Rams play the Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC) in a 4A Greater Neuse River challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Cleveland will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Storm come into the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 49-38 league win over South Garner (Garner, NC).
