Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC) and the host Corinth Holders Pirates (Wendell, NC), saw Willow Spring's basketball squad hold off Corinth Holders by a count of 56-51.

With the victory, Willow Spring upgrades its record to 20-3 on the campaign. The Storm host Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Greater Neuse River challenge on Friday, February 16. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 16-6.

Next up, the Pirates play the Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) in a 4A Greater Neuse River challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Corinth Holders will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record.
