Texas High School Basketball - Estacado overwhelms Sweetwater
January 5, 2024: Lubbock, TX 79403 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX) and the visiting Sweetwater Mustangs (Sweetwater, TX), saw Estacado's basketball squad wallop Sweetwater by a tally of 66-33.
With the victory, Estacado improves its record to 13-10 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Big Spring (Big Spring, TX) to confront the Steers in a 4A Region I District 5 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Steers come into the challenge with a record of 1-17. Big Spring lost 75-8 in their recent league challenge against Levelland (Levelland, TX)
Next up, the Mustangs confront the Lake View Chiefs (San Angelo, TX) in a 4A Region I District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Sweetwater will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a 0-20 record after their 50-23 league loss to Snyder (Snyder, TX).
