The Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC) basketball knocked off the host Ragsdale Tigers (Jamestown, NC), 37-29 in Friday's league test.

The Whirlies (4-7) will now prepare for their test against Western Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Hornets go into the 4A Metro test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, Western Guilford notched a victory over Page (Greensboro, NC), 61-58, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Southeast Guilford for a 4A Metro test on Tuesday, January 9. Ragsdale will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 50-40 league loss to Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 5-6.
