The Southwest Guilford Cowboys (High Point, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC), 44-37 in Friday's league test.

The Cowboys (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Vikings go into the 4A Metro test with a 11-5 record. In their last test, Northwest Guilford got by Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC), 64-28, in a league test.

The Whirlies now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Northern Guilford for a 4A Metro test on Tuesday, January 23. Grimsley will encounter a Nighthawks squad coming off a 76-44 league win over Page (Greensboro, NC). The Nighthawks record now stands at 15-1.
