Virginia High School Basketball - Highland nips Randolph-Macon Academy
January 5, 2024: Front Royal, VA 22630 Highland Hawks (Warrenton, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets (Front Royal, VA), 36-32 in a league bout.
With the victory, Highland upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Tandem Friends (Charlottesville, VA) to play the Badgers in a VISAA Division II bout on Monday, January 8. The Badgers come into the bout with a record of 0-4. Tandem Friends lost 58-5 in their recent league bout against Wakefield School (The Plains, VA)
Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Tandem Friends Badgers (Charlottesville, VA) in a VISAA Division II bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Randolph-Macon Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
