Nemaha Central Thunder (Seneca, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Jefferson West Tigers (Meriden, KS), 38-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nemaha Central upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Thunder travel to Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] (Wathena, KS) to play the Cyclones in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 7-0. Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] won 40-10 in their recent non-league bout against Perry-Lecompton (Perry, KS)

Next up, the Tigers play the Royal Valley Panthers (Hoyt, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Jefferson West will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 45-30 non-league loss to Hiawatha (Hiawatha, KS).
