Texas High School Basketball - Austin Achieve knocked off by La Grange
January 6, 2023: La Grange, TX 78945 The La Grange Leopards basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Austin Achieve Polar Bears to 53 in the Leopards league triumph on Friday.
The Leopards now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Giddings for a 4A Region III District 22 contest on Tuesday, January 10. La Grange will meet a Buffaloes team coming off a 54-49 league win over Taylor (Taylor, TX). The Buffaloes record now stands at 15-5.
The Polar Bears (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Smithville (Smithville, TX). The Tigers enter the 4A Region III District 22 contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Smithville ran past Burton (Burton, TX), 59-34, in a non-league contest.
