Ohio High School Basketball - Bellaire tops Union Local

Bellaire Big Reds (Bellaire, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Union Local Jets (Belmont, OH), 75-62 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bellaire upgrades its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Big Reds travel to Brooke (Wellsburg, WV) to play the Bruins in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Bruins come into the bout with a record of 3-4. Brooke lost 57-55 in their recent non-league bout against Weir (Weirton, WV)

Next up, the Jets play the Martins Ferry Purple Riders (Martins Ferry, OH) in a Buckeye 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Union Local will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Purple Riders come into the bout with a 10-0 record after their 71-61 league win over St. Clairsville (St. Clairsville, OH).
