Virginia High School Basketball - Culpeper County edges James Monroe
January 6, 2023: Fredericksburg, VA 22401 The Culpeper County Blue Devils (Culpeper, VA) basketball nipped the host James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA), 59-56 in Friday's league test.
The Blue Devils (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA). The Cougars go into the Battlefield test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, Courtland got by Caroline (Milford, VA), 63-53, in a league test.
The Yellow Jackets now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Brooke Point for a non-league test on Monday, January 9. James Monroe will encounter a Black Hawks squad coming off a 56-52 league win over Massaponax (Spotsylvania, VA). The Black Hawks record now stands at 3-5.
