The East Rutherford Cavaliers basketball team (Forest City, NC), was overwhelmed 79-55 in Friday's league battle with the host Hendersonville Bearcats (Hendersonville, NC)

The Bearcats now possess a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brevard for a 2A Conference 41 battle on Friday, January 13.

The Cavaliers (5-9) will now prepare for their battle against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Hilltoppers come into the 2A Conference 41 battle with a 9-6 record. In their last battle, R-S Central trounced Patton (Morganton, NC), 53-39, in a league battle.
