January 6, 2023: Franklin, MA 02038 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Franklin Panthers (Franklin, MA) and the visiting Taunton Tigers (Taunton, MA), saw Franklin's basketball squad overcome Taunton by a tally of 61-53.
With the victory, Franklin improves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Sharon (Sharon, MA) to confront the Eagles in a Hockomock challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-1. Sharon won 74-71 in their recent league challenge against Foxborough (Foxborough, MA)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Mansfield Hornets (Mansfield, MA) in a Hockomock challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Taunton will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 57-41 non-league win over Boston College High (Boston, MA).
