Illinois High School Basketball - Nazareth Academy topped by Marist
January 6, 2023: LaGrange Park, IL 60526 The Marist RedHawks basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the host Nazareth Academy Roadrunners to 48 in the RedHawks league victory on Friday.
The RedHawks now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Benet Academy for a East Suburban Catholic contest on Saturday, January 7. Marist will battle a Redwings team coming off a 67-36 league win over St. Patrick (Chicago, IL). The Redwings record now stands at 17-1.
The Roadrunners (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 11-4 record. In their last contest, Riverside-Brookfield prevailed over Palatine (Palatine, IL), 60-58, in a non-league contest.
