The North Country Union Falcons basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds to 30 in the Falcons league triumph on Friday.

The Falcons now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harwood for a Capital contest on Monday, January 9. North Country Union will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 78-40 league win over Lake Region (Orleans, VT). The Highlanders record now stands at 2-2.

The Thunderbirds (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Vergennes (Vergennes, VT). The Commodores enter the Lake contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Vergennes triumphed over Stowe (Stowe, VT), 62-30, in a non-league contest.
