Tucker Tigers (Tucker, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting M.L. King Lions (Lithonia, GA), 81-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Tucker upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Tigers travel to Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 1-11. Cedar Shoals lost 59-47 in their recent league bout against East Forsyth (Gainesville, GA)

Next up, the Lions play the Chamblee Bulldogs (Chamblee, GA) in a AAAAA Region 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. M.L. King will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 57-51 non-league loss to Wesleyan (Norcross, GA).
