Murrieta Valley Nighthawks (Murrieta, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Temecula Valley Golden Bears (Temecula, CA), 57-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Murrieta Valley upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Nighthawks travel to Great Oak (Temecula, CA) to play the Wolfpack in a Southwestern bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Wolfpack go into the bout with a record of 10-9. Great Oak lost 74-71 in their recent league bout against Murrieta Mesa (Murrieta, CA)

Next up, the Golden Bears play the Vista Murrieta Broncos (Murrieta, CA) in a Southwestern bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Temecula Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Broncos go into the bout with a 17-3 record after their 57-39 league win over Chaparral (Temecula, CA).
