New York High School Basketball - Pioneer over Gowanda
January 6, 2023: Yorkshire, NY 14173 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Pioneer Panthers (Yorkshire, NY) and the visiting Gowanda Panthers (Gowanda, NY), saw Pioneer's basketball squad overcome Gowanda by a tally of 37-28.
With the victory, Pioneer improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host East Aurora (East Aurora, NY) to confront the Blue Devils in a Section 6 Erie County III challenge on Wednesday, January 11. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. East Aurora lost 63-44 in their recent league challenge against Depew (Depew, NY)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Cassadaga Valley Cougars (Sinclairville, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 9. Gowanda will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record.
