Portville Panthers (Portville, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gowanda Panthers (Gowanda, NY), 51-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Portville upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Panthers travel to Falconer (Falconer, NY) to play the Golden Falcons in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - East I bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Golden Falcons go into the bout with a record of 11-8. Falconer lost 40-32 in their recent league bout against Salamanca (Salamanca, NY)

Next up, the Panthers play the Frewsburg Bears (Frewsburg, NY) in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - East I bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Gowanda will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record.
