Arizona High School Basketball - Saguaro knocked off by Mesquite

January 6, 2023: Scottsdale, AZ 85250

The Mesquite Wildcats basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Saguaro Sabercats to 45 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Mary's for a 4A Desert Sky contest on Wednesday, January 11. Mesquite will meet a Knights team coming off a 57-36 non-league loss to Flagstaff (Flagstaff, AZ). The Knights record now stands at 3-10.

The Sabercats (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Coronado (Scottsdale, AZ). The Dons enter the non-league contest with a 3-11 record. In their last contest, Coronado was defeated by Prescott (Prescott, AZ), 59-24, in a non-league contest.
