Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX) and the visiting Mt. Enterprise Wildcats (Mt. Enterprise, TX), saw Overton's basketball squad hold off Mt. Enterprise by a tally of 52-46.

With the victory, Overton improves its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Cushing (Cushing, TX) to confront the Bearkats in a 2A Region III District 22 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Bearkats come into the challenge with a record of 8-9. Cushing lost 59-30 in their recent league challenge against New Summerfield (New Summerfield, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Douglass Indians (Douglass, TX) in a 2A Region III District 22 challenge, on Monday, January 9. Mt. Enterprise will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 89-6 league win over Alto (Alto, TX).
