Georgia High School Basketball - Oconee County tops Oglethorpe County
January 6, 2023: Lexington, GA 30648 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA) and the host Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA), saw Oconee County's basketball squad knock off Oglethorpe County by a tally of 60-51.
With the victory, Oconee County improves its record to 4-10 on the campaign. The Warriors host Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA) to play the Lions in a AAA Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 13-0. Hebron Christian Academy won 85-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Madison County (Danielsville, GA)
Next up, the Patriots play the Athens Christian Eagles (Athens, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Oglethorpe County will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 72-37 non-league win over Stephens County (Toccoa, GA).
