The Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) basketball nipped the host Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), 55-51 in Friday's non-league test.

The Pioneers (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Bears go into the non-league test with a 8-2 record.
