North Carolina High School Basketball - Olympic nudges South Mecklenburg

January 6, 2023: Charlotte, NC 28273

Olympic Trojans (Charlotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC), 44-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Olympic upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Trojans host Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Ardrey Kell won 38-28 in their recent non-league bout against Harding University (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Sabres clash with the Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. South Mecklenburg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 51-49 non-league win over Palisades (Charlotte, NC).
