Washington High School Basketball - Royal tops La Salle
January 6, 2024: Union Gap, WA 98903 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Royal Knights (Royal City, WA) and the host La Salle Lightning (Union Gap, WA), saw Royal's basketball squad knock off La Salle by a tally of 89-69.
With the victory, Royal improves its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Connell (Connell, WA) to play the Eagles in a 1A South Central - East challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Connell lost 82-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Zillah (Zillah, WA)
Next up, the Lightning play the Toppenish Wildcats (Toppenish, WA) in a 1A South Central - West challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. La Salle will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 66-58 non-league loss to Kiona-Benton (Benton City, WA).
