January 6, 2025: St. James, LA 70090 Ascension Catholic Bulldogs (Donaldsonville, LA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host St. James Wildcats (St. James, LA), 57-49 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Ascension Catholic upgrades its record to 11-7 on the year. The Bulldogs host South Lafourche (Galliano, LA) to face the Tarpons in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. The Tarpons enter the match with a record of 13-7. South Lafourche won 51-49 in their recent non-league match against Willow (New Orleans, LA)
The Wildcats now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Assumption for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. St. James will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 32-28 non-league loss to Plaquemine (Plaquemine, LA). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-19.
