South Dakota High School Basketball - Beresford defeats Akron-Westfield
January 6, 2025: Beresford, SD 57004 The Beresford Watchdogs (Beresford, SD) basketball were winner over the visiting Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA), 48-32 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Watchdogs now possess a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Chester for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9. Beresford will play a Flyers team coming off a 52-47 non-league win over Gayville-Volin (Gayville, SD). The Flyers record now stands at 6-3.
With the loss, Akron-Westfield falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Westerners travel to Hinton (Hinton, IA) to play the Blackhawks in a War Eagle bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Blackhawks go into the bout with a record of 11-0. Hinton won 70-28 in their recent non-league bout against Woodbury Central (Moville, IA)
