January 6, 2025: Gillespie, IL 62033 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL) and the visiting Bunker Hill Minutemen (Bunker Hill, IL), observed Gillespie's basketball team overwhelm Bunker Hill by a score of 61-26.
The Miners (13-5) will now prepare for their challenge against North Mac (Virden, IL). The Panthers come into the South Central challenge with a 7-10 record. In their last challenge, North Mac trounced Bunker Hill (Bunker Hill, IL), 62-23, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Minutemen battle the Carrollton Hawks (Carrollton, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Bunker Hill will attempt to improve on its 2-12 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 55-27 non-league win over Southwestern (Piasa, IL).
