Texas High School Basketball - Calvert holds off Dime Box
January 7, 2022: Dime Box, TX 77853 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Calvert Trojans (Calvert, TX) and the host Dime Box Longhorns (Dime Box, TX), saw Calvert's basketball squad hold off Dime Box by a tally of 46-44.
With the victory, Calvert improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Trojans host North Zulch (North Zulch, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 1A Region IV District 29 challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 4-8. North Zulch lost 58-46 in their recent league challenge against Bartlett (Bartlett, TX)
Next up, the Longhorns confront the North Zulch Bulldogs (North Zulch, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 29 challenge, on Friday, January 14. Dime Box will attempt to improve on its 15-7 season record.
